Why do people think Florida is so much better? There are really not that good.

Outside of Boston and Pitt no one else is really a lock, it'll be a battle down to the wire and the Leafs have as much of a chance as anyone else.

What do you feel about Detroit? I for one think they will just miss the playoffs. But even if they do how can you complain with like 20 consecutive years with playoffs

I'd say they those teams are in the mix, but not at the level of the Bruins and Penguins. If it turns out Boston or Pitt missed the playoffs, I think people would be shocked. If Tampa or Montreal missed it wouldn't be stunning.

Both the Pens and Bruins do look worse than last season. Pittsburgh has no depth. That Neal trade was stupid. Boston might be the slowest team in the NHL and Chara looks like he's lost a big step.
